Overview
Below is an overview of the event roles that Shift + Alt Events team members can perform at your event. As part of your Shift + Alt Events fee, you will already have at least one of these roles included.
If you are interested in hiring additional Shift + Alt Events team members, please let us know.
Please note: this list covers only the in-house roles that our team provides. In addition, you will also have other professionals at your event, such as caterers and photographers, who Shift + Alt Events will hire on your behalf.
Leadership & Oversight
Senior Event Producer
The strategic leader who ensures your event’s vision is fully realized. They are the Event Director and oversee every moving part, make high-level decisions, and serve as the primary link between you, the venue, and the team.
Event Producer
Your producer’s right hand. They step in to handle tasks, track progress, and maintain momentum so nothing is overlooked.
Associate Producer
The bridge between leadership and delivery. As Senior Coordinators they fine-tune logistics, monitor schedules, and make sure vendors and staff are perfectly in sync.
Executive Assistant (EA)
Keeps the leadership organized and efficient by managing calendars, communication, and essential documentation.
Admin / Back Office Support
The behind-the-scenes engine, handling finances, confirmations, and vendor coordination so the on-site team can focus entirely on execution.
Production & Operations
Head of Production
The master of logistics. They coordinate every setup and teardown detail, conduct site visits, and ensure the event environment is flawlessly prepared.
Deputy Head of Production
An on-the-ground problem-solver who supports the Head of Production on event day, ensuring no logistical detail slips through the cracks.
Logistics Manager
The flow expert. They design site maps, oversee transport and access points, and orchestrate the smooth movement of everything and everyone.
Production Assistants
The agile troubleshooters. They are Junior Coordinators and jump in where needed, tackling last-minute tasks to keep everything running without disruption.
Production Hand
The flexible crew that make the impossible possible, from setting up name tags to handling unexpected vendor needs.
Volunteer Manager
Supports, organizes, and motivates volunteers, making sure they contribute meaningfully while enjoying a rewarding experience.
Creative & Design
Head of Aesthetic – Creative
The visionary behind the look and feel of your event, shaping the atmosphere with original concepts and bold ideas.
Head of Aesthetic – Logistics
The doer who transforms creative concepts into reality, managing installations and ensuring every decorative detail is executed perfectly.
Deputy Head of Aesthetic
The connector between creative and logistical teams, ensuring both vision and execution align seamlessly.
Mock-up Designer
They create AI generated mock ups of what your event will look like.
3-D Event Render Designer
They create 3-D rendered floorplans so you can virtually walk through your event prior
Graphic Designer
Shapes your brand’s presence through signage, printed materials, and digital design, ensuring everything is visually consistent and striking.
Design & Styling Lead
Curates the fine details from flowers to tabletops, creating an immersive style experience that ties everything together beautifully.
Programming & Talent
Stage Manager
The orchestrator of live programming. They cue performances, manage timing, and keep the energy flowing across every stage of your event.
Talent Manager
Your performers’ advocate. They handle contracts, riders, and backstage logistics to ensure entertainers deliver unforgettable experiences.
Speaker Manager
The point of contact for presenters. They keep speakers on schedule, prepared, and equipped to deliver maximum impact on stage.
Guest Experience
Guest Experience Lead
The guardian of guest comfort and hospitality. They oversee arrivals, welcome gifts, special needs, and smooth guest journeys from start to finish.
Concierge
A personal resource for guests, ready to answer questions, handle requests, and provide assistance throughout the event.
Host
The face and voice of your event. They guide guests through the program with warmth and energy, ensuring everyone feels included.
Butler
Provides discreet, personalized service to VIPs and special guests. From anticipating needs to managing fine details, they ensure a seamless, luxurious experience that goes above and beyond standard hospitality.
Greeters
The first impression. They welcome guests with professionalism and warmth, setting the tone from the moment people walk in.
Coat Check
A simple but essential service, ensuring guests can relax and enjoy the event without worrying about their belongings.
Hype Person
The spark that ignites the crowd. They energize guests, encourage interaction, and create the electric atmosphere that makes moments unforgettable.
Communications & Marketing
Communications Manager
The storyteller who keeps guests informed. They manage invitations, reminders, and live updates to keep everyone connected and engaged.
Automation Manager
The tech mind behind the guest journey. They build RSVP systems, manage databases, and automate communications to streamline the process.
Sponsorship Implementation Manager
The guardian of sponsor value. They ensure every sponsor activation is delivered at the highest standard, benefiting both client and partner.
Photo & Content Liaison
Makes sure the most important moments are captured by coordinating photographers, videographers, and client content needs.
Social Media Manager
Tells your event’s story in real time, capturing the excitement and sharing it with audiences beyond the venue.
Procurement
Purchasing Manager
Keeps the budget sharp and the supplies steady, sourcing and securing everything needed while managing vendor payments.
Venue Hunt Specialist
Finds and secures the perfect venue to match your event’s vision, negotiating terms and handling contracts to lock in the right space.
Technical & Safety
Technical Manager
The specialist ensuring sound, lighting, visuals, and special effects deliver maximum impact. They liaise directly with AV partners to guarantee flawless production.
Deputy Technical Manager
Supports the Technical Manager in overseeing all technical elements. On event day, they help supervise AV teams, troubleshoot issues in real time, and ensure nothing interferes with the guest experience.
Head of Health & Safety
Your assurance that every regulation, standard, and precaution is in place so guests can focus on celebrating in a safe environment.
